My rankings for energies in Perfect Order.
Fighting is easily the top spot with 2 of the 3 top chase cards of Mega Zygarde.
In second place, I have Trainer. 3 cards in the top 10 and the most hits with 12.
Third is Psychic. 5 hits and Clefable and Clefairy are awesome cards.
4th I will go with Normal because of the Meowth Chase. The SIR is the 2nd biggest card in the set and they have 4 total hits.
5th is Water. 5 Hits, multiple in the top 20 with the Mega Starmie ex sir being the chase.
6th place goes to Dark . 3 hits
7th place is Grass. 4 hits
8th is Fire. 3 hits
9th is Electric. This spot really only has the Dedenne illustration rare but thats a great lookin card.
10th place goes to Steel. 3 hits
How to Choose Your Energy
- Want the biggest possible hits → Fighting or Normal
- Want consistent pulls → Trainer/Psychic
- Want a balanced mix → Water
- Want lower cost with upside → Dark/Grass/Fire/Electric/Steel
